Three big things coming out of the 2026 JP Morgan Healthcare conference

The annual JP Morgan Healthcare Conference gives the Inneo team a chance to reconnect with friends and partners, get valuable facetime with teams from other companies in the space, and get an early look at what emerging trends we can expect to gain traction over the coming year.

Big thing 1: AI is evolving from hype to infrastructure AI dominated the discourse (again)—with a significant shift in tone. AI tools are being developed and productized as key infrastructure, rather than specific plug-in solution. This is driving significant investment in AI products and implementation across all facets of their operation and innovation workflows & business units.

If your health system is looking to develop a more competitive AI strategy, the Inneo Alliance can help. We work closely with health leaders to identify and advance solutions in support of your major strategic initiatives.

Big thing 2: AI-powered drug discovery gets primed for the limelight Arguably the biggest deal unveiled at the conference was the billion-dollar Nvidia-Lilly co-innovation lab. The companies reached an agreement for a five-year program devoted to bringing the cutting-edge compute capabilities of Nvidia to bear on Lilly’s well-oiled R&D apparatus.

If you’ve got major innovation initiatives on your list of priorities for the coming year, Inneo Lab’s co-innovation programs have yielded multiple successfully commercialized products while generating tens of millions in IP value.

Big thing 3: The energy and scale of JPM indicates the strength of healthcare as a sector With over 10,000 official attendees (and many more on the periphery) descending on San Francisco for the conference, the energy of the event indicated a healthcare sector in ascendancy. Becker’s has an interesting breakdown of some key indicators pegged to that most ascendant of American institutions, Taylor Swift (seriously). We recommend you give it a read, but the net-net is that healthcare is entering a new era, one that’s more patient-centric, innovation-driven, and disciplined.

By any metric, 2026 is primed to be a huge year in healthcare. We’re excited to build on the momentum from the end of ’25 into some exciting initiatives across the next few months.
